I'm a guest blogger!

The lovely Fei over at Peonies and Lillies was after some guest bloggers for September and I thought it would be a great opportunity for myself and my blog so I volunteered. We have very similar topics on our blogs so I thought we would mesh together quite nicely. Fei told me she liked my wishlist/hauls posts the best so I decided to do an epic Autumn fashion wishlist. I have taken 5 staple pieces for A/W 12 and chosen my favourite high street and online pieces!

My post has been split into 2 different ones over on Fei's blog so look out for the other one later this week!

You can find today's post here !

I hope you enjoy it :)

#PassionForFashion Competition

A while back I contacted by Money Supermarket to take part in their Passion for Fashion competition and with the prizes being £1000 AND an iPad 3 along with £200 for each individual style winner I jumped at the chance! The competition has been created to raise awareness of just how much your wardrobe has cost you and whether you could replace it if something was to damage it. I know I couldn't!

The aim of the competition was to create five Autumn/Winter outfits based on different day to day scenarios for less than £200 each. I am a summer girl at heart but there's something about wrapping up warm and layering which appeals to me! I really can't wait for all my winter events (Halloween/Birthday/Bonfire Night/Christmas/NYE) to come around after doing this competition now I have some great inspiration for what to wear!

Date Night
Blazer - River Island - £75
Playsuit - Miss Selfridge - £35
Shoes - AX Paris - £39.99
Socks - Topshop - £6
Bag - H&M - £19.99
Bracelet - River Island - £6
Rings - Topshop - £10

Total - £191.98

For a date night I would want to look dressed up, fun but warm and comfortable as well. I like the dressed up play suit but the warm massive boyfriend style coat would keep me cosy and dressed down plus I wouldn't have to nick my dates! I love knee high socks to cover up my legs when it's cold out and the berry ones from Topshop add colour to this outfit. The shoes boots are pretty good dupes of Jeffery Campbell's Litas but a fraction of the price! Finally I would throw on a little jewellery. I am a ring girl so the more the better!

Autumn Casual Outfit

Shirt - Topshop - £26
Boots - New Look - £29.99
Bag - New Look - £14.99
Disco Pants - Glamourous - £30
Hoop Earrings - Topshop - £8.50
Cardigan - River Island - £30
MAC lipstick in Captive - Debenhams - £14
Necklace - Miss Guided - £9.99

Total - £163.47

For a casual look I love leggings and I like the Glamourous dupes of American Apparels disco pants (at £70 they are just too expensive!) A baggy cosy cardigan is a must! If I was going to pop out later in the day I would throw on some cosy boots - I really like the fleece lining on the New Look wedges! The across body bag would not get in my way but I would be able to throw everything in for a day out! A bit of jewellery is a staple in my wardrobe and a quick slick of a darker winter coloured lipstick and I'd be ready to head out for the day!

Autumn outdoors

Jeans - Topshop - £38
Hat - River Island - £15
Top - Glamourous - £9
Bag - Miss Selfridge - £39
Coat - Miss Selfridge - £65
Boots - New Look - £27.99
Gloves - New Look - £5.99

Total - £199.98

I hate being cold so I have to wrap up every inch of myself when I head outdoors. I like berry for any item in my wardrobe but I love the Topshop jeans and would wear them to death over the winter season. Flat boots would be much more practical for walking around outside and I like the soft brown colour of the New Look boots. A wrap around mac coat looks almost Burberry-esque and the hat and mittens with keep you all toasty!

office

Peplum Top - Miss Selfridge - £27
Pencil Skirt - River Island - £22
Shoes - New Look - £19.99
Blazer - Topshop - £40
Bag - H&M - £24.99
Watch - River Island - £35

Total- £168.98

I like to look smart but stylish at work. I love the peplum trend for A/W12 so I would team the top with a longer pencil skirt. I have to have colour in my wardrobe (it makes me feel more happy) so the blazer would not only keep me warm but in a good mood. My job involves a mix of office work and running around so although I would wear the medium heeled shoes I would more than likely throw a pair of flats on so need a large bag for work (working 12 hours days I also need a big make up bag)! A watch is my only staple for work; when you work in events timing is everything!

Party

Dress - Lipsy - £110
Nail Polish - Models Own - £5
Lipstick - Topshop - £8
Shoes - Miss Guided - £34.99
Clutch Bag - Miss Selfridge - £29.00
Bracelet - River Island - £3
Ring - River Island - £9

Total - £190.99

I'm a huge party girl so this is my favourite look. You need a perfect black dress for the colder months and I will always brave the cold for a night out without any sort of jacket! This dress from Lipsy is gorgeous! Glittery heels and bag will make the outfit look really fun and expensive! I would want the dress to be the main focus so a small amount of dainty jewellery would set the outfit off nicely. My nails would have to be done so I would opt for a dark glittery polish and a swipe of pink lipstick!

I really enjoyed creating this post and taking part in the competition! If you want to take part you have until Monday 24th September. Here's the link - http://www.moneysupermarket.com/home-insurance/passion-for-fashion/  You can also see the other fab entries from other bloggers!

Hope you enjoyed my entry!

Brighton Instagram Pictures

So last week myself and two friends decided on Monday night we were going to go the seaside, eat lots of food & drink way too much. Cut to Tuesday morning and we started the 2 and a half hour drive down to Brighton. I have been blessed that my parents have taken me on some amazing holidays abroad but the first thing I did was text them and say "How have you never took us (Me and the sister) down here!!?!"

I loved everything about Brighton. The pier of course is an attraction in itself and we each ate way too much but fresh crayfish tails were my personal favourite. I would have got bags of rock but due to my poorly tooth I can't eat anything too hard (my body secretly thanked me). I loved the cobbled shopping area filled with higher end stores, Crabtree & Evelyn, L'Occitane etc. We strolled to the Royal Pavillion where we grabbed lychee and raspberry martinis at 4 in the afternoon.

The night was somewhat a blur. Too many cocktails, great music and just a great vibe in the club we ended up in, Lola Lo's. The thing with Brighton is all the tables in every club are reserved. So there's no where to sit! We did see a Hollister sign on one table and was desperately keeping watch to see if it was going to be occupied by yummy boys. Alas, they never turned up.

The next morning we made a mad dash to pack our bags to a greasy spoon along the seafront. I wanted to go to Bill's but some people take too long getting ready GRR. We then hit the infamous lanes filled with vintage boutiques and lots of jewellery shops! To be honest I was far too hungover to function as a normal human being.

Brighton I love you and I WILL be returning shortly. It is my birthday in 8 weeks ;)

New Look #HolidayShop Competition Entry.

I have been bed ridden for the last 2 days and been reading blogs like non-stop. During this time I came across Michelle's blog (Daisybutter) and her New Look #Holiday Shop Giveaway! I thought it looked like a fun little project so here is my entry!

Here is the brief:

Imagine you are going to Ibiza for a long weekend. Create a post on your blog stating which items from the New Look store you would wear to complete each of the following outfits on your holiday. You have 5 outfits for 5 occasions, so which items would you wear and why? Head over to the New Look store and start picking your favourite party dresses, bikinis and accessories.

When I travel it's all about comfort. I would never dream of wearing heels on a plane and my feet always get cold so I would wear these Grey PU Boat ShoesI think jeans and denim are just too tight a material for flying but there's such a stylish range of leggings out there I would opt for these Black PU Side Panel Leggings. A baggy top like the Khaki See No Evil Skull Vest means you can start eating (or drinking) early and not worry about any food babies. Layering is a must so the Grey Shawl Collar Yarn Knitted Cardigan will keep you warm on the plane and make a great pillow on the way back when you are trying to recover from a 3 day hangover! I love to wear jewellery but this Set of Chain Stretch Bracelets are easy enough to get on and off when you go through security. The Leopard Print Cabin Bag means you don't have to carry all your holiday travel essentials as it wheels along beside you. The print really brings the outfit together as well!

First stop is to hit the beach. I love fun bikinis and would never just stick to black. This Frill Triangle Top adds some colour and a halterneck style always shows off your boobs (which is one feature I quite like on myself) whereas the Blue Studded Notredame Shorts will help cover my tummy which is my problem area. The Skull Pendant Necklace adds a bit of style which is easy to whip on and off when you need to dip into the pool. I don't like to bring a huge bag down to the beach with me - all I need is my iPod, money and a bit of sunscreen and I'm set so this Yellow Double Stitched Mini Saddle Bag is perfect. I tend to steer clear of makeup but the GOLD by Giles Bronzer will add a nice flush of colour to my cheekbones! Finally I like these  Leopard Print Cow Hair Sandals as they won't slip off when running through the sand towards the local lifeguards ;)

So when it's time to go out for dinner on holiday I always know I will end up in a cocktail bar after and come crawling back to the hotel room in the wee hours of the morning. I tend to get too warm in the evenings so this simple Te Amo Pink Galaxy Print Skater Dress means no layering! The Black Strappy Block Heels add some glamour but the block heel means I can last all night long. The Orange Studded Wrap Bracelet and Silver Rough Meteorite Ring add some extra glam and colour and I love a good colour clash. I love studs this year and this Black Studded Fold Over Clutch is big enough to fit in all the essentials. I can just imagine sitting at Cafe Mambo watching the best sunset in the world in this number.

I like a good matching bikini and stripes are always flattering so I would wear this Navy Stripe Frill Bandeau Bikini Top and Navy Stripe Frill Bikini Briefs. The Orange Maxi Voile Skirt is a great cover up from going to and from the bar and the Ravel Gold Leather Buckle Sandals will help you not to burn your feet on the hot tiles whilst you carry 3 or 4 daiquiris for the girls. Sunglasses are a must have for people watching around the pool so I would choose the Pieces Black Nia Sunglasses as they are very RayBan-esque. I always have my arms covered with my Micheal Kors watch and a stack of bracelets and these Leaf and Bead Charm Friendship Bracelets would have pride of place on my wrist. The Stone Tassle Duffle Bag would fit in my beloved Kindle, iPod and the big old bottle of water I would need to keep me feeling tip top all day!

When the sun sets, it's time to hit the strip and party away into the night. Once done with my bikini for the day I would layer the Ruched Front Bandeau and the Purple Dip Hem Skirt over it; this would still show off the amazing tan I've been working hard on. The Black and Gold Baroque Beaded Clutch is beautiful and such a statement whilst the Black Gold Cuff T-Bar Heels make it look like you have spent hours getting ready. The Gold Spike Chain Egyptian Pendant and Gold Drop Black Curve Feather Earrings really make the outfit come together and add the touch of class you would need to get straight into the VIP section of Eden!

So I know if I was wearing any of these outfits I would be looking rather fab in Ibiza! Which of the outfits is your favourite? I honestly can't pick one!

Get to know me.

Really cannot muster up the energy to write or think about my blog today. Why am I the only person alive to get a cold in August?!

Hello to my few new followers, so amazing that people actually want to read my blog. I thought I would do a Get to know me tag/post as you don't know too much about me!

1. Are you named after anyone?
Nope, Just a bit of a random name. I've never met anyone with my name so if you know anyone called Tanice let me know!
2. When was the last time you cried?
Ummm a few weeks ago. A crappy day followed by a crappier night.
3. Do you have kids?
Nope and not planning to for quite some time!

I would hope so. My friends mean the world to me so I would know I had a good friend to always look out for me!

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

Although I am ever faithful to my MAC Face & Body I realised a bottle of that plus my Mineralize Skin Finish costs me a rather tear jerking £48! And under no circumstances would I give up my MSF!

I haven't used a drugstore foundation is well over a year but summer usually makes me want a more healthy finish as opposed to my regular matte one. I have heard great things about L'Oreal's Lumi Magique ranch so jumped on board!

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation is a medium coverage foundation which is light infusing. To me that means it provides a nice glowy finish without looking too shimmery or dewy. The coverage is definitely buildable so is a great foundation to match the type of day your skin is having!

Although I'm not a huge fan of glass packaging as I am rather fond of the rose gold detailing and a do like the pump as it is easy to control how much product you use (unlike my MAC Face & Body!)

The only downfall with this product is there are only 6 colours available. Luckily W5 Gold Sand is a pretty good match for myself.

I really like this foundation and although I haven't got any recent drugstore brands to compare it too I would definitely recommend this for someone who wants the summer glow that the UK sun is not bringing us itself!
