New Look #HolidayShop Competition Entry.

I have been bed ridden for the last 2 days and been reading blogs like non-stop. During this time I came across Michelle's blog (Daisybutter) and her New Look #Holiday Shop Giveaway! I thought it looked like a fun little project so here is my entry!

Here is the brief:

Imagine you are going to Ibiza for a long weekend. Create a post on your blog stating which items from the New Look store you would wear to complete each of the following outfits on your holiday. You have 5 outfits for 5 occasions, so which items would you wear and why? Head over to the New Look store and start picking your favourite party dresses, bikinis and accessories.

When I travel it's all about comfort. I would never dream of wearing heels on a plane and my feet always get cold so I would wear these Grey PU Boat ShoesI think jeans and denim are just too tight a material for flying but there's such a stylish range of leggings out there I would opt for these Black PU Side Panel Leggings. A baggy top like the Khaki See No Evil Skull Vest means you can start eating (or drinking) early and not worry about any food babies. Layering is a must so the Grey Shawl Collar Yarn Knitted Cardigan will keep you warm on the plane and make a great pillow on the way back when you are trying to recover from a 3 day hangover! I love to wear jewellery but this Set of Chain Stretch Bracelets are easy enough to get on and off when you go through security. The Leopard Print Cabin Bag means you don't have to carry all your holiday travel essentials as it wheels along beside you. The print really brings the outfit together as well!

First stop is to hit the beach. I love fun bikinis and would never just stick to black. This Frill Triangle Top adds some colour and a halterneck style always shows off your boobs (which is one feature I quite like on myself) whereas the Blue Studded Notredame Shorts will help cover my tummy which is my problem area. The Skull Pendant Necklace adds a bit of style which is easy to whip on and off when you need to dip into the pool. I don't like to bring a huge bag down to the beach with me - all I need is my iPod, money and a bit of sunscreen and I'm set so this Yellow Double Stitched Mini Saddle Bag is perfect. I tend to steer clear of makeup but the GOLD by Giles Bronzer will add a nice flush of colour to my cheekbones! Finally I like these  Leopard Print Cow Hair Sandals as they won't slip off when running through the sand towards the local lifeguards ;)

So when it's time to go out for dinner on holiday I always know I will end up in a cocktail bar after and come crawling back to the hotel room in the wee hours of the morning. I tend to get too warm in the evenings so this simple Te Amo Pink Galaxy Print Skater Dress means no layering! The Black Strappy Block Heels add some glamour but the block heel means I can last all night long. The Orange Studded Wrap Bracelet and Silver Rough Meteorite Ring add some extra glam and colour and I love a good colour clash. I love studs this year and this Black Studded Fold Over Clutch is big enough to fit in all the essentials. I can just imagine sitting at Cafe Mambo watching the best sunset in the world in this number.

I like a good matching bikini and stripes are always flattering so I would wear this Navy Stripe Frill Bandeau Bikini Top and Navy Stripe Frill Bikini Briefs. The Orange Maxi Voile Skirt is a great cover up from going to and from the bar and the Ravel Gold Leather Buckle Sandals will help you not to burn your feet on the hot tiles whilst you carry 3 or 4 daiquiris for the girls. Sunglasses are a must have for people watching around the pool so I would choose the Pieces Black Nia Sunglasses as they are very RayBan-esque. I always have my arms covered with my Micheal Kors watch and a stack of bracelets and these Leaf and Bead Charm Friendship Bracelets would have pride of place on my wrist. The Stone Tassle Duffle Bag would fit in my beloved Kindle, iPod and the big old bottle of water I would need to keep me feeling tip top all day!

When the sun sets, it's time to hit the strip and party away into the night. Once done with my bikini for the day I would layer the Ruched Front Bandeau and the Purple Dip Hem Skirt over it; this would still show off the amazing tan I've been working hard on. The Black and Gold Baroque Beaded Clutch is beautiful and such a statement whilst the Black Gold Cuff T-Bar Heels make it look like you have spent hours getting ready. The Gold Spike Chain Egyptian Pendant and Gold Drop Black Curve Feather Earrings really make the outfit come together and add the touch of class you would need to get straight into the VIP section of Eden!

So I know if I was wearing any of these outfits I would be looking rather fab in Ibiza! Which of the outfits is your favourite? I honestly can't pick one!

Get to know me.

Really cannot muster up the energy to write or think about my blog today. Why am I the only person alive to get a cold in August?!

Hello to my few new followers, so amazing that people actually want to read my blog. I thought I would do a Get to know me tag/post as you don't know too much about me!

1. Are you named after anyone?
Nope, Just a bit of a random name. I've never met anyone with my name so if you know anyone called Tanice let me know!
2. When was the last time you cried?
Ummm a few weeks ago. A crappy day followed by a crappier night.
3. Do you have kids?
Nope and not planning to for quite some time!
4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I would hope so. My friends mean the world to me so I would know I had a good friend to always look out for me!
5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Too much. I use it in a joking kinda way but I know there have been times where I've taken it too far!

Never. In. My. Lifetime.
7. What's your favorite cereal?
Ummm I like a bit of Ready Brek and if not I go for Granola.

Usually what they are wearing. If I make eye contact or vice versa I always smile and I notice if the other person does not smile back. If they don't I get really peed off.

Brown.
10. Scary movie or happy endings?
Happy endings anyday.

UK.
17. What are your hobbies?
I guess blogging? I love to read and watch films, travel around and shop!
18. Do you have any pets? No, but I'm dying to get a puppy!

I loved The Hangover, Hear no evil see no evil, The Holiday,  All the Shrek films....anything with Channing Tatum

Yes. A sister who is a year younger than me.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

Although I am ever faithful to my MAC Face & Body I realised a bottle of that plus my Mineralize Skin Finish costs me a rather tear jerking £48! And under no circumstances would I give up my MSF!

I haven't used a drugstore foundation is well over a year but summer usually makes me want a more healthy finish as opposed to my regular matte one. I have heard great things about L'Oreal's Lumi Magique ranch so jumped on board!

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation is a medium coverage foundation which is light infusing. To me that means it provides a nice glowy finish without looking too shimmery or dewy. The coverage is definitely buildable so is a great foundation to match the type of day your skin is having!

Although I'm not a huge fan of glass packaging as I am rather fond of the rose gold detailing and a do like the pump as it is easy to control how much product you use (unlike my MAC Face & Body!)

The only downfall with this product is there are only 6 colours available. Luckily W5 Gold Sand is a pretty good match for myself.

I really like this foundation and although I haven't got any recent drugstore brands to compare it too I would definitely recommend this for someone who wants the summer glow that the UK sun is not bringing us itself!

Clothing Haul 003.

Here's the bits and bobs that I've purchased this week!

Matalan - £6

I got these as they are a bargain for £6 - They are way too big as they didn't have my size but I think a belt will help shape them up a bit!

New Look - £14.99

This skirt is actually a lot brighter than in the picture and being 5"10 I will never get a skirt that's too long but it shall do for when the sun comes out!

Primark - £6

Primark had so many patterns but I was drawn to these cute spotty sandals!

Primark - £2.50

Primark - £7

This top is actually more green than in the picture. It has a zip on the back and a nice silvery foil/sheen effect on the front!

Primark - £3 each

I got some jewellery to go with my dress for my graduation ball. I may not wear these but at £3 I will still get some use out of these!

Primark - £10

Very TGI Fridays

New Look - £5.99 £2!

I'm loving collar necklaces right now and found this gem in the sale!

Primark - £6

This is to go with the skirt below - I wanted a cute spring outfit!

New Look - £14.99

Love how cute this skirt is!

So yes I got quite a few things but I think they are things I can mix and match in order to make loads of new outfits! I'm also really pleased that my outfit for my graduation ball has only cost me £50 altogether when so many people are spending £100+ on just their dresses! All I need now is a bag!

Tried my contact lenses at the opticians for the first time. Wearing eye make up was a big mistake. Oops.

Forever 21

Tomorrow I'm off to Birmingham for a spot of retail therapy. I'm broke but I have an overdraft....for now. I think Brimingham's Bull Ring is a great day of shopping. It's like London but it costs less to get there & it's not as busy as Oxford Street. It has all the essentials; a rather large Topshop and Primark, Selfridges for the food court & high end browsing, MAC because well...we all need one AND Forever 21!

Now Forever 21 only have two stores in the UK, Birmingham and late last year Oxford Street in London. It is three floors of browsing heaven! I think it can be a bit hit or miss but there is always something you will love in store. Prices aren't bad at all either! Yes, some things are normal priced but every now and again you will find something and be amazed at how cheap it is! Cute summer dresses go for around £15, Shorts for about £12-£18 and tops vary depending on material.

And the jewellery part of the store? OH EM GEE! It is my version of heaven. I pick up a little basket and spend easily an hour choosing little trinkets for my outfits!

Here's a pick of my favourite things that I will be searching for tomorrow!

forever 21

I would really recommend going to Forever 21 if you are off on holiday or to a festival this year. End of the day, the clothes are decent prices & if something does happen to them (or you buy new clothes on holiday) you can part with knowing you didn't spend £36 on a top - I'm looking at you Topshop.

Hope you are all having nice weekend!

Friday's Beauty Wishlist!

Need these!
I think I have described the wishlist of every beauty blogger right now & to be honest I have gained all my lust for these products from a few of my favourite blogs!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer £14 - I really want to try this as I need something to strengthen my hair! It is supposed to also add shine & filters from UV light as well! I like the idea of putting it on before you shower as I hate getting out of the shower waiting 20 minutes with a leave in conditioner and then hopping back in!

Essie Mint Candy Apple £9.95 - I think this is the colour of the moment. The perfect spring shade. I don't own any Essie nail polishes as of yet but I have seen they will be selling in Boots store soon & they have such good reviews.

NARS Laguna £24 - The cult classic. I don't need a wow bronzer. Any one will do to add a bit of a glow to my cheeks. I have been loving bronzer over blusher at the moment and always go for a nice contour looked. I have seen the effect Laguna can make on the cheeks and have been dying to try it but at £24 it's even more than my beloved MAC MSF & I desperately need a repurchase! Too many choices not enough money!

Chanel Tan de Soleil £29 - I have always wanted to try this but I've been reluctant to try it as my skin is already very dark and I doubt it will make much of an impact. I think I will purchase the Laguna before this as I think I could build up a powder better than a cream.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir £9.90 - I simple want to try this because everyone is and I feel left out. I'm not sure if I will get along with it as it's got a lot of mint fragrance apparently & I like sweet smelling things. If I have a few extra pounds at the end of the month I will invest. You don't know if you will like it until you try it right?

Ghost Sweetheart £19.95 - My favourite summer perfume. I got some for Christmas and have run out. I use it sparingly as I hate running out of perfumes. So a simple repurchase!

Now we have the problem....where am I going to get the money for these? £310 was just spent on my car's MOT and Service and £80 on my graduation ball ticket. I really am broke. A girl can dream though!

Off to my one and only exam of this final uni year now! Wish me luck!
