Johnson's Baby Lotion

I thought I would help everyone rediscover this little beaut.

I think we all remember this & a puff full of powder being poofed onto use after bath time when we were tiny! I've recently run out of my Liz Earle Clean and Polish and I wanted something cheap and effective to take off my make up. That's when I saw this on the shelf.

I use this with cotton wool pads and squirt it all over my face and buff off. It is actually so effective and it really does make my skin cleaner. I try to cleanse after with another cleanser in the bathroom but if I don't have the time or effort, I can go to bed happy that my face is make up free! I also use this as an all over body moisturiser!

The product comes out a nice girly pink, smells like ickle babies and at less than £3.00 for 500ml is a complete steal! I can't believe we all stopped using it to be honest!

Does anyone have any other uses for this as I'd really like to get even more use out of it?

Dissertation....bite me.

Hi everyone I just thought I'd update you all and literally been up for 24 hours (it's 9:13am and I haven't been to bed) I am about to go and hand my dissertation in.

I'm so relived it's over but if I'm honest to myself...I could have done a much better bit of work if I started collecting my data earlier. I am disappointed with it but as long as I get a C or above I will be happy as I have never found a piece of work so hard. I've been physically sick with worry for the last 2 weeks.

I will be writing a post about my experience and give you all some advice (once I've got my grade back - I don't want to give advice on something I'm crap at)!

2 more assignments and 1 exam to go.
8th May and it's all over.....

17 Lasting Fix Lipsticks

I keep running out of my MAC products (Goodbye MAC Angel *sob*) & haven't the money to keep spending the best part of £15 on one lipstick. We can all agree that Boots 3 for 2 is not only a great bargain but a great excuse to try some drugstore brands because one product is going to be free so it doesn't matter if you hate it!

17 is a favourite drugstore brand of mine, my favourite products being their lipsticks. I picked up three of their Lasting Fix lipsticks in a variety of pinks!

Left to Right - 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Hawaiian Pink, Pink Power & Dreamy.

Hawaiian Pink - True to the name! It's a pink which slightly leans towards coral. 

Pink Power - A deep blue toned pink which makes a statement lip. I tend to dab this on the lips as it can be quite bright and overpowering!

Dreamy - The lightest of the three, but also my least favourite. It can be a bit flaky on the lips so I suggest buffing your lips and adding a gloss afterwards!

I am very happy with these lipsticks. I got all three for less than one MAC lipstick which makes me smile lots! I would say if these were MAC lipsticks they would be of a creamsheen formula and they do last! I would say around 3 hours? 

I would like to try some more nudey colours from this collection next as I even though I love pinks, nudes make me look more grown up & subtle!

Weekly Food Update.

Foodie Post Alert!

Been trying not to snack as much recently and having a big breakfast. My fave breakfast is granola with fresh strawberries; it fills me up until lunch! I've been running with my friend Mia down the park in the mornings - I swear we talk more than run but it's good to get some fresh air anyways!

Coffee cooler at Heathrow airport! My sister finally came home on Sunday night so we have spent a lot of time since then - I had to update her on all the storylines in the soaps & we spent today shopping around town!

Oh and she got me these - my fave sweets!

Monday was spent in the uni library with no food as Greggs the holy grail of campus was closed! I was there 9-5 and me and my friends finished our final ever group project & we feel it is A grade material ;)

 Do you think the pic above looks like the picture below it? No? Me neither! We were very disappointed!

I'm going to be doing a jewellery haul and a Primark haul this week so keep your eyes peeled! Oh and a review of a couple of beauty products as well!

Tisty Tosty

I woke up all lovely today & then my boyfriend pissed me off. So then I was in a bad mood. I decided to do some rowing on the trusty rowing machine and then decided to give this another bash. 

I hate this lady and I only wanted to do 10 minutes of the exercises. I just don't like being told what to do haha! Zumba is completely different because it's fun and I like the music!

I then decided to have a bath mainly to try one of my new Lush products!

I picked up a couple of pretty bath things in Lush when I got my lip scrub! I rarely have baths but I thought I would treat myself to some bathing goodies.

I loved the prettiness of this heart. It's called Titsy Tosty and you put it in the bath and it fizzes away until all the roses end up all around the bathtub!

Pritttttty!

I also got a lovely bright pink bomb but I will show you when I use it (so in a few months haha)!

Models Own & Nails of the Week

I totally abused Boots 3 for 2 offer today. I got make up, some Real Techniques brushes (I will these review asap but I want to actually use them & get a feel for them first!) and some Models Own nail polishes.

I don't know about you but Pink Fizz was very hard to come across from December 2011 - present. When I saw it in the Boots stand today I almost fell over. Utopia I felt would be a lovely base coat for Pink Fizz and also lovely nude shade on its own. Indian Ocean was more of a impulse buy, the bottle just looks beautiful. I have a few blues in my nail collection so thought this would look nice over them. To be honest I probably could have done without Indian Ocean as it's very similar colour wise to O.P.I Save me by Nicki Minaj. But I love the pinky/purple shades within it.

These are actually my first ever Models Own purchases! I must say I thought the brush was a little thin when I opened it but it applies really nicely and precisely. I would say that with Utopia you need 2 coats to make it opaque and of course with the other two you just apply as wanted. I'm really impressed with the brand actually - I want some more colours asap.

These are on 3 for 2 at Boots right now so I got all 3 for £10 which was the main reason I took the plunge! Very pleased I did!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend? I had a rather naughty one in which lots of things were purchased! Saturday was spent shopping with Mum & Monday was a lovely trip to Birmingham with my boyfriend. I got a few things for myself but I was treated to a few bits from each so was very lucky indeed!

I know summer is coming but I love cosying up on summer nights with things like this and I think it's the perfect to go with shorts so you aren't showing too much skin. (Plus my heating at home is broken so it's lovely and warm!)

I also got some Leigh black jeans at £38.00. I wanted them in black as I am going off leggings but they go with everything. This way I can wear shorter tops and show my bum without showing my underwear. I think leggings should always be worn with a top that covers the bum - just saying!
