Paco Rabanne Lady Million

Hello, my name is Tanice and I am offically a perfume slut.
I blame running to Boots at work today and getting easily sidetracked.

I wanted to try this perfume for so long and it is currently on offer from £47 down to just £31 for 50ml!!! The offer can be found here! Oh and there were triple advantage card points. And I had a double points coupon. It was like they were forcing me to buy it and a few other items.

"The Paco Rabanne Lady Million woman embodies the ideal woman. No man can resist her and the best won’t ever be enough for her!"

This Eau de Parfum is packaged in a gold diamond shaped bottle which looks amazing but it stands on it's side - annoying when you are slightly obessed with lining things up nicely! Nevertheless I would say I love the fact it doesn't have a lid as I am prone to losing them. You just press the top and voila. The colour of the perfume is a little off putting - it looks a bit like pee! Obviously it just sprays on clear.

The perfume contains:

Bitter orange
Fleshy raspberry
Neroli
Orange Blossom
Arabian jasmine
Patchouli
Honey
Amber

I decided not to look at what was in this perfume as I loved it so much from just the sample and after looking at the list I can see why I was drawn to it. As you know my favourite floral scent is jasmine and love the sweetness of the honey mixed with the citrus fruit! Don't be fooled into thinking this perfume is just for Spring/Summer there is definitely something in it (perhaps the neroli?) which gives it some depth and doesn't make it sickly sweet.

The first thing I noticed about the perfume was how strong it was so I decided to conduct a test. I put just 2 spritzes on my wrist and waited for my parents to come home. Once they put the shopping away my Mum said " I can smell a really nice perfume, did you buy a new one?" So she could smell it and I didn't even go too close to her! Winner. I think this is a great perfume to spritz before going out as you won't have to keep applying it all night (there are rollerballs available).

I know I say this everytime but my GAWD this is my new favourite night out perfume. If I could go out and pull myself...I would.

What's inside my make up bag.

My life has been pretty freakin' busy the last few weeks and it has no intention of slowing down (just how I like it). I had perhaps the greatest moment of my small blogging life so far and was invited to the Next Lock In as I know so many other bloggers were also. I couldn't actually go due to other commitments but the fact I was invited really made me estactic & fingers crossed I get invited to another blogger event soon!

I have been going straight from work to other places which means two things; one, my car is filled with a variety of jackets, boots and one too many empty Starbucks cups than I would like to admit and two, my make up bag is currently filled with essentials to quickly beautify myself before dashing from the office.

Here's what has been gracing my make up bag this week.

MAC Blusher in Mocha - Quite a deep pink which definitely suits a darker skin tone & is my go to
blusher in winter for rosy cheeks!

Benefit Sun Beam - This is just in case I fancy a little bit of highlighter on top of my cheek bones. Adds a really subtle glow!

The Body Shop Lip Protector - I've never come across a better product for chapped lips. So much better than Blistex etc!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in Crush - I find this a little too much for the office so I slick this on before heading out!

Real Techniques Detailing Brush - I like to use this to touch up around my eyes with my concealer.

MAC Mineralise Skin Finish -  The best powder. Ever.

17 Mark Your Mark - I like to have a bit more of a dramatic eye after work and this has serious staying power!

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes - I like big lashes all day, every day!

Real Techniques Powder Brush - For my powder needs, nice and big and ever so fluffy!

MAC Studio Finish Concealer - Under my eyes always need brightening after a long day!

I'm off to London for a couple of days next week and must pack like so I think these products will do!

Lady Gaga Fame

Lady Gaga released her first ever perfume back in August this year. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this much anticipated product in a Glossybox which was used up in the space of two days and I knew it was going to go on my birthday wishlist.

Firstly the packaging really caught my eye. Most celebrity perfumes are fun and girly but the black and gold is dark yet classy and the bottle itself is slightly alien like to me which I love. It looks a lot more expensive than it actually is.

Now I would have liked the perfume itself if it was clear as I love the scent regardless but Lady Gaga is always out there & inventive so if anyone was going to make a perfume black it would be her. She says "It's black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airbourne". I don't know how it does this but quite frankly I don't care; let's just call it magic.

Also it is an Eau de Parfum which really helps the smell it linger!

Onto the smell. The packaging lists the following scents:

Tears of Belladonna
Crushed heart of Tiger Orchidea
With a Black Veil of Incense
Pulverized Apricot
And the Combinative Essences
of Saffron and Honey Drops

I'm rubbish with describing smells but I'll try; to me it had a very little bit of floral mixed with a muskiness. It's kinda sweet but I feel it has this darkness to it. (How was that?)

I know a lot of people are saying this isn't a very unique scent and that it was produced for the mass market - but aren't most perfumes? I do not have anything similar in my collection therefore love this to spice up my collection of sickly sweet/floral smells!

Fame is available at most drug stores but Superdrug sell a 30ml for £23.99!

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22.

If you love Taylor Swift like me you will get the post title ;)

So yesterday was my birthday and I turned 22! I feel like a grown up now, I didn't get half as excited as I used. The original plan was to go to the Harry Potter Studios but we forgot it was half term so me and 3 of my closest friends headed into London!

After a opening my presents me and my sister went out for a quick breakfast before I made my way to the train station. My friend Emma treated us all to cava & orange juice on the train - drinking at 11am has to be done sometimes.

After a necessary Starbucks (& me discovering I do not like Chai Tea Lattes) we hired Boris Bikes and had a long cycle around Hyde Park! It was such a lovely crisp Autumn day we had such lovely rosy cheeks and worked up an appetite.

I love the deli counter in Harrods so took my friends there we were had a pit stop of hot soup & a roll! I also picked up a lovely little piece of jewellery with some birthday money!

After a quick dash to Harvey Nichols to go to the new Beauty Mart (was rather disappointed by it to be honest) and a browse around MAC we headed to the London Eye at dusk. I had only been on it in the day when it first opened so was very excited! It was a lovely experience to share with my friends!

We ate way too much at Las Iguanas along with some cocktails and then decided to have a big old shop at Primark before getting a late train home!

I honestly had one of the best birthdays ever and love my friends and family so much for making it so special! I received some very lovely gifts including some beauty related ones (being the beauty product obsessed gal I am) which I will spend this week reviewing!

Tonight is where I really celebrate - a themed birthday party followed by a night in town! Cannot wait!

MAC Studio Finish Concealer

I've never entered the world of concealer too much I feel I have been lucky with quite good skin. Recently I have been breaking out and had too many late nights so those dark circles are appearing so decided to invest. My Collection 2000 Long Lasting Concealer is empty and I wasn't a big of fan as some people (for £4 though who's complaining)?

I went to Milton Keynes the other day which means beauty shopping (Northampton please open a MAC!) I picked up MAC's Studio Finish Concealer.

It's cute and tiny!

I was matched up to NC35 which is a bit lighter than normal is perfect for under my eyes! This is quite a thick concealer so be careful as it will crease if you do not have a light touch. I find taking a clean ring finger and patting this under the eyes gently works a treat, no brushes needed.

This product has SPF 35 which is great for summer months but I'm not sure how it will look under a camera flash. I will let you know this weekend!

This isn't the cheapest concealer around at £14.50 but a little goes a long way and the staying power is really great - I find you can go 6 hours without a touch up!

I thing if you were going to dip into MAC then this is a great start as it's one of their cheaper products but will make a big difference to how you long!

Halloween Costumes with Vision Direct

I was contacted a while back by Vision Direct to try out some of their halloween contact lenses. I actually wear contact lenses on an almost daily basis so thought I would be able to write an honest review for those sceptical.

There are so many to choose from it was so hard picking one! I was kindly sent the Phantasee Vampire lenses ones which I LOVE. I really liked the look of the cat eyes and the spider ones too! Check out the full range here!

They are really soft and easy to put in which surprised me as I thought they would feel different to my normal ones! Once in I was amazed at how comfortable they were. I was sent some multi use solution too but as with any contact lenses I wouldn't advise you wait until Halloween 2013 to whip them out again but you can wear them a few times during halloween week.

I thought I would use these lenses to give me inspiration for a vampire halloween party look!

I so should have been cast in Twilight.

Make Up

I decided to just go for a simple look. I used my Urban Decay Naked palette for the eyes just mixing Gunmetal and Creep together and blending it all across the lid & smudging it under too. I then just went for my L'oreal Million Lashes mascara as I think fake eyelashes will take away the focus from the lenses. I then went for a plain base and used my Yves Rocher Moistuirsing Cream Lipstick in Rouge for a sultry look. And done!

Clothes

goth

1- River Island - £50
2-  New Look - £27.99
3- River Island - £35
4- Toshop - £34

For my sexy vampire look I think a fitted dress will give you amazing curves! I love the gothic materials out right now, leather and velvet screams goth and the baroque print makes me think of the reinassiance so luxury! Dipped hem is still in fashion and this New Look dress means you don't have to wear a horrible cape ;)

I hope this gives you some ideas if you need a last minute halloween party outfit!

Here's some random edited vampire pics I took just for laughs!

SCARY STUFF - I wish!

LOOK Mattify Me

I haven't blogged all week! Last weekend was a very heavy one and then my laptop broke and I am back at work so I just haven't been able to blog I'm afraid. I think this photos so how I got drunker throughout the night!

Anyways, onto today's review.

I hate bring my MAC MSF into town with me on nights out. I am just not okay with a £20+ powder cracking due to my idiocy. (Yet I have no issues with my newly smashed iPhone screen, shows my priorities!) So I have been on the hunt for cheap and cheerful powders just to brush on during bathroom trips.

Mattify Me is part of LOOK beauty's make up range only available in Superdrug. I picked this up in a sale for £4 but it is usually £8. Perhaps not the cheapest on the drug store market.

I really like the sturdy packaging and love the fact it comes with a mirror unlike loads of powders lately!

It only comes in one colour, transulcent, but really it acts as a blotting powder; it just takes away any shine so there is no need for it to add colour. I am dark skinned and this doesn't make me look pale or ghastly so a winner for me. I like that is doesn't give you a caked make up look but just gently removes the sweat from dancing glowing shine we all get on a hot and heavy night out.

Not much else to really say about such a simple product but I highly recommend.
